Brabos Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Welcome to Brabos Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a place where the traditional values of the martial art meet the unwavering spirit of a family's legacy.

At the heart of Brabos lies Nerivaldo "Nery" Trindade, a 44-year-old native of Linhares, Espírito Santo, Brazil. Nery's journey with Brazilian jiu-jitsu began over a decade ago when he and his eldest son, João, started training together in the United States.

Originally, the plan was for João to simply find an activity to stay engaged, but with the encouragement of their instructor, Aldo Batista, the entire Trindade family - including Nery's wife, Carla, and their younger son, Nery Jr. - soon found themselves immersed in the transformative world of jiu-jitsu.

As Nery's passion for the sport grew, so did his competitive spirit. He excelled at the white and blue belt levels, earning multiple titles and accolades. But jiu-jitsu became more than just a hobby for Nery; it was a way of life that brought his family closer together.

In 2019, Nery's vision to share the joy and discipline of jiu-jitsu with his community came to fruition when he, along with his two sons and their friend, Lucas, opened the doors to Brabos Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in North Andover, Massachusetts. What began as a space for the kids to train has now blossomed into a thriving academy, welcoming students of all ages and skill levels.

Under the Trindade family's leadership, Brabos has achieved remarkable success, with students claiming titles at prestigious tournaments like the Pan Ams and Worlds. But the true heart of Brabos lies in the values that Nery has instilled - respect, humility, and the power of community.

Today, Nery, his wife, and their three children continue to inspire and guide their students, sharing the lessons they've learned through their own jiu-jitsu journey. From forging unbreakable bonds to achieving personal growth, the Trindades' story is a testament to the transformative power of this art and the strength of a family united by their passion.

Welcome to Brabos Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where the Trindade legacy lives on, one mat session and one life-changing lesson at a time.
